In discussion after the world congress Swami Paramadvaiti
wrote to Stuart, one of the conveners of the world congress on spirituality
and psychology:
"I look forward to be more active in the future if there
is a chance on this forum. I think that Oida Therapy is a language
which many used in their own way. Thus I feel that after some years
of experience we will be able to present healing through faith as
a valuable item for showing the transpersonal psychology and the
traditional mystic approaches to be nothing more then a revival
of spiritual secrets for healing which have been largely forgotten
or ignored in the course of time.
I also feel as Dr Aravind indicated in his speach about peek experiences
that the recognized presence of the advaita philosophy and the bhakti
traditions longing for a personal view and relationship with God
should be shown as traditional views to heal people side by side.
This would also open more interest from those who belong to mystic
traditions of a personal God conception to participate. You know
as well as me, that Kali, Ganesh and so many other unfamiliar names
to western traditions give rise to their prejudism against pantheism
etc.
In transpersonal psychology a lot of that limitation is transcended
already. But the full power of healing with faith will arise when
we are all united in the idea that materialism has failed to provide
proper guidance to well being." |
